Where your DREAM HOME is ATTAINABLE, and EVERY space can be BEAUTIFUL no matter the BUDGET.

Despite pursuing a different educational path (BSc in Biomedical Science & Master of Public Health), my enthusiasm for interior design grew when I moved out on my own and I had full-reign on designing my own spaces. This marked the beginning of my love affair with DIY—sewing a duvet cover and pillows for my dorm room, painting thrifted dining chairs in a trendy Tiffany blue, and even reupholstering a sofa I found at a flea market. Limited by a very tight budget, I was still able to create spaces that helped me feel at home!

Fast forward to 2015, when my boyfriend (now husband) Rob and I started the search for our first home. A year-long house hunt ensued—falling for homes beyond our budget, losing bids, and encountering “newly renovated” houses I still wished to gut. Finally, in 2016, we closed on our current home—a dated 1970s side split, not exactly our dream home, but with lots of potential.

In 2020, amidst a full DIY kitchen renovation and expecting our second daughter, the world shut down (IYKYK). It was during my year long maternity leave, stuck at home, that I ignored the “nap when the baby naps” advice, and dove into project after project. I started sharing my DIYs and home updates on Instagram and found a supportive community that cheered me on.

Which brings us to today – a long overdue website where I can share more in depth tutorials, extra behind the scenes content, and teach YOU how to create your dream home with your own two hands! Because I truly do believe your home can be beautiful, no matter the budget!
