TAPESTRY REVEAL ✨ Excuse me?! Can you believe t TAPESTRY REVEAL ✨ Excuse me?! Can you believe this is a Ruggable rug!? I’ve always been obsessed with the William Morris Owl & Willow wallpaper but dang, it is SPENDY! (Inspiration images by @chrislovesjulia, @kathrynhuftondesign, @houseofkeene) So when I saw this print launched with the Morris & co. x Ruggable collab, I squealed!! I ended up hanging the 3’x5’ size with drywall nails popped through the reinforced corners (see reel for a visual of what the heck I’m talking about) While I love a good antique tapestry, finding a good one is tricky, so I love that this is a super accessible way to get the look 🤍 HOWEVER FREAKING MAGICAL IS THIS!? #tapestry #wallhanging #playroom #art #antiquetapestry #williammorris #diylookforless #diytapestry #rugtapestry

I finally had enough and was so excited to find @ookhardware kid-safe hangers! AD The hooks have a little latch that keeps the art on the hook, no matter how rambunctious your kids are! There are a variety of sizes that hold 5lbs up to 75lbs! This is such a game changer for hanging galleries in not only kids spaces, but high traffic areas, like stairwells or entries! Not only is it a fraction of the price of limestone tile, it is also so much more durable and so much less maintenance! Raw footage from our outdoor kitchen/structure “ Raw footage from our outdoor kitchen/structure “budget meeting” as we realize we are way over budget and have spent way more than we ever planned to 😵‍💫 But let’s talk about this because it brings up a lot of really good renovation realities and tips!! 1. Make a budget! But further than that, check in on your budget regularly so you can address over spending and try to curb it and make adjustments and/or concessions where possible! 2. Always have a contingency fund!! Create your budget and add 10-15% because shit is expensive and issues WILL arise!! Also, don’t forget that quotes expire and material costs often increase yearly - so while it can be helpful to get projects quoted in advance, assume the actual price will be at least 3-5% higher. 3. When possible save cash 💰 for your projects BEFORE you start. While this project is definitely costing us way more than we hoped and we are stressed out about it, we are not nearly as stressed as we would be if we were having to put it on credit cards! Were you here when we started this project in Nove Were you here when we started this project in November 2021?! The downside of DIY is that it often takes a LOT longer🙃. Our pool was installed in July 2022 and we spent the pool season surrounded by dirt! Last year was our first full pool season (we swam May - October in southern Ontario!) and I cannot wait to spend my days lounging poolside again! This spring we are finally wrapping this project up by finishing our outdoor structure and building an outdoor kitchen! Check out my “backyard” highlight for the whole process! Do you have a pool? Can you believe this is the same corner? From a sw Can you believe this is the same corner? From a sweet little girl’s room to a forest inspired boy’s nursery! I won’t even lie, I was sad changing Laine’s room because I LOVED it. It was the first room in our home where I stepped outside the box and took more chances design wise. It stretched my design muscles you could say! I was proud of it! But here I am a year later and even more proud of Wilder’s nursery!
